In all my years playing Double Dash, something new happened today

I’ve been playing DD since it first came out. My parents (Santa lol) got it for me for Christmas in 2003 when I was just 11. I played it a lot for many years until 2018 when I traded the game in for money. Last year, I bought the game back and I’ve been playing it a bunch and I love the game even more than I did before. That being said, I really only like playing all cup tour on 150cc because who doesn’t like playing all 16 amazing tracks and having CPU racers who always match up gets boring. I started a game earlier today as DK and Toad , and as I was racing, I noticed that there were 3 sets of racers who were each other’s partners, me being included. There was DK/ Toad and Diddy Kong/ Toadette, Peach/ Baby Mario and Daisy/Baby Luigi and Wario/ Koopa and Waluigi/ Paratroopa. The most I have ever seen is 2. I guess the randomization this game was feeling lazy lol. It would’ve been crazy if there was 4 but Bowser and Bowser Jr were there and randomly Petey Piranha and Luigi. I posted a pic as proof too. Has this happened to anyone else?

I want to do the math on the odds but it sounds like complicated math... 1:20 chance you pick any character then stacking 1:14 into slots for 14 characters and 4 spares... Hm.

Regardless, with such unique placement you may want to buy a powerball ticket but you had one random kart and a correct pair, so pick a good powerball!! 🍀🤞🍀
